Our History
Meridian Pacific Equipment started as a manufacturer's representative business over 30 years ago under the name Meridian Pacific Sales. As a manufacturer's representative, we partnered with best-in-class manufacturers to provide convenience, quality, and integrity to our customers.
In 2006, the company expanded and built a new location in Sacramento, California. This 4-acre location serves as the corporate headquarters and has allowed the business to expand even further. In 2008, the wholesale re-rentals division was created to fill a need in the rental industry.
Meridian Utility Equipment Sales opened in 2009 as a full service dealership for compact construction equipment. This business was a perfect compliment to Meridian Pacific Sales as both businesses leveraged off of one another in terms of product offerings and customer base. Yanmar has been the core of our dealer partnerships, and we serve as the largest single location in North America. In 2015, we became the exclusive west coast warehouse for Yanmar and our partnerships have grown to include ASV, GEHL, and more. At any time, we have over 100 pieces of new equipment in stock and ready for delivery, including aftermarket rubber tracks and a large assortment of attachments by Tag, Blue Diamond, Virnig and Paladin.
Our service primarily covers California and Nevada. We also have a partnership that expands our representation in Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico.
In 2009 we opened our Parts and Service departments, increasing our offering to new and existing customers while providing a much needed service in the market. We also ramped up our staffing and inventory to meet customer demand. Our 14,000 sq ft warehouse is home to our on-site service and repair team, and our mobile services team meets customers in the field and at their locations.
In 2022, we unified our branding and began operating under Meridian Pacific Equipment. To encompass all of our product offerings and services, we consolidated our online presence and combined our websites to become MeridianPacific.com. Our highly qualified sales, service, and administrative teams provide the highest level of service, knowledge, and know-how to keep equipment moving and our customers happy. We are constantly evaluating and adapting to our customer's needs and industry demands.
In 2025, Meridian Pacific Equipment expanded into the Pacific Northwest by acquiring Direct Sales, LLC, a manufacturer's rep agency founded in 2000. The acquisition marked a strategic step in expanding Meridian Pacific Equipment's footprint and reinforced its commitment to providing top-quality products and services to its customers. The acquisition of Direct Sales, LLC integrated its operations and sales team with Meridian Pacific Equipment and expanded upon both companies' lines represented in the states of AK, ID, MT, OR, and WA.
